Yesterday, March 10, 2008, you should have received a flyer in your mailbox about the final plan for our open space. You have until this Friday, March 14, 2008 to contact one of the board members if you have any questions or concerned.

I posted my response to the Architechural drawings for the open space a couple days ago but I do not see them on here. I also have not received a response, so I will post them again.
During the meeting in February, the original plans were approved with contingencies that were supposed to be address during the second meeting that took place at the Wilkerson's house. What were those specific contingencies and what was the outcome of them? The flyer I received did not mention what those contingencies were and the subsequent outcomes.
Also, it was suggested during the February meeting that it would be good to have walk paths at either end of the figure "8" walking path so that people can enter/exit from multiple ways instead of just one in the middle. Was this idea, which I thought was a good one, not approved? Additional comments about the walk path: It is noted on the drawing that the walk path will be wood fiber or mulch. Will this be a sturdy walking surface for all people(young and old) as well as handicap accessible and easily traversed by wheelchairs, etc.? It is nice to know what the different plants are and the quantities and sizes of each, but what about the maintenance of these plants. There will need to be ongoing maintenance of them. Who will provide this maintenance and upkeep? How much will that cost? Is that part of the estimated cost of $14,725?
Additionally, if phase 1 will cost $14,725, how much will phase 2 cost and when will it be completed? If the total budget for this project was $15,000, phase 1 takes up all of that budget, so does that mean phase two will be completed for $275.00, or less? What does phase 2 consist of?
The letter also states that phase 1 will begin in April, but it doesn't state how long it will take to complete. Do we have a date of when it will be completed? Also when will phase two begin?
I know that I am only one vote and one voice, but I think these questions are valid and would like to receive answers to them before I can feel comfortable moving forward with this project.
